Yes, panhandleilc.org is sporting a fresh new appearance that promotes greater consumer use and the public’s access to information.  The site features more current information about Center events, calendars and a “What’s Happening at PILC” link that is updated often.

Especially beneficial is the addition of links to the Center’s new Facebook and Twitter accounts that establish a “family of friends.”  PILC Development Director Joe Rogers said the Facebook page allows consumers and friends to interact with staff and each other about issues and events that interest them.  “They can find current information about activities or print our flyers at their own convenience.”

In designing the website, Joe worked with David and Janet Lanier who developed a program called “Ready Sites.” The program enables small non-profits to maintain their own websites  while saving money, as well.

Joe hopes the overhaul will expand PILC’s visibility.  “The goal is to reach more people while empowering our consumers to become more engaged with us and the broader community."
