“A Heart to Heart Affair” Highlights the Valentine’s Season

An all-star cast of performers and Master Chef T. Jay Reeves highlight PILC’s benefit, “A Heart to Heart Affair” on February 12.
A delightful evening of dining, dancing and entertainment comes to Amarillo during PILC’s annual benefit on Saturday, February 12.

Members of the Center’s newly formed auxiliary have assembled “A Heart to Heart Affair” to generate community support for deserving men, women and youth with disabilities.  Guests will enjoy dancing to music by Marc Durham’s Texas Blues Rangers, a silent auction, and a catered meal by the Stockyard Café.  A special dessert prepared by Master Chef T. Jay Reeves will highlight the evening meal.

The auxiliary has also engaged a dynamic cast of performers including singers and musicians Pat Pruett, Virgil Morton, Molly Cox and Rob Robledo appearing as “Elvis.”  Auxiliary leader Blenda Killough says the benefit promises to be a huge attraction during the Valentine’s season.  “We want the community to enjoy a fun, romantic evening that will also be remembered as an affordable event well worth attending every year,” she said.

A one carat Journey Diamond Pendant from McFarlin’s Jewelry is among donations to be auctioned at “A Heart to Heart Affair.”

The Heart to Heart Affair will be held at the Sunset Art Center Ballroom, 3701 Plains Boulevard, on Saturday, February 12 from 7:00 to 11:00.  Tickets are available at $35 per person.  The funds from this year’s benefit help assist people who encounter unexpected financial troubles during the year.  This past year, PILC provided funds for rent, utilities, medical equipment, travel expenses for urgent medical procedures, and other independent living needs.

Tickets may be purchased at PILC, 1118 South Taylor.  Additional information is available by contacting Development Director Joe Rogers, (806) 374-1400.
